Campmeeting 2023 | Ptr. Ben Aplaon - Part 2
God's Perfection and Control God's work is perfect, His ways are judgment, and He is a God of truth without iniquity, just and right. He is the Rock, unchangeable, and in control of all things, so believers should not worry. This foundational truth provides peace, knowing that whether alive or dead, those in Christ are saved and have already been judged through Him. No One Is Indispensable The message emphasizes that nobody is indispensable in God's plan. Just as there was a change in leadership from Moses to Joshua, God can change roles and positions at any time. This truth should motivate individuals to do their best in their current roles—as a wife, husband, or child—obeying biblical instructions. The "Spot" of Identification Deuteronomy 32:5 states, "They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation." This "spot" is an identification of one's true nature. Citing Jude 12, the sermon describes those with a "wrong spot" as "spots in your feasts of charity," "clouds without water," and "trees whose fruit withereth," signifying those who are part of the church but are spiritually unfruitful and rebellious. True children of God bear a spot identified by their Father, marked by obedience and a desire to please Him, rather than conforming to the world's fashion or causing grief to their families and pastors. Remembering and Applying Truth Believers are urged to "Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee" (Deuteronomy 32:7). This involves seriously implementing biblical truths in homes and churches, particularly concerning the training and discipline of children through biblical principles like using the "rod of correction" and ensuring modesty. The sermon also cautions against "strange gods," such as excessive phone use or activities that promote immodesty, reminding that God alone should lead. God's Vengeance and Our Opportunity The song of Moses concludes with the wrath of God during the end times, highlighting that "their rock [Antichrist] is not as our Rock [Christ]." The sermon warns of the Tribulation for the unsaved and urges immediate salvation, emphasizing that believers have the opportunity to avoid future suffering by sowing righteousness now. The challenge is for every believer to actively work for the Lord with love, transforming the world through the truths they have received.
